As a monocular-goggle, the Mini-14 is the most recent NVG to be adopted by US Military. Developed as an alternative to the PVS-14,
the Mini-14 was designed to be submersible, lighter, more versatile, and easier to use in situations where its
predecessors were inadequate. The ultra-light MilSpec body is waterproof to 65 feet(20meters) to handle the most adverse conditions.
The compact size allows the Mini-14 to rest closer to your eye than most models. Combined with its short length, this provides
an incredibly full 40 degree field of view. And, the precision ground MilSpec glass provides crisp, clear distortion-free images from edge to edge.
For many, viewing-in-motion through the Mini-14 goggle is more natural than any other night vision device.
A leap above the Mini-14, the Mini-14B binoculars provide comfortable dual-eye viewing through
two Mini-14 monoculars, joined with the Night Optics Mini-14 Bino Rack. The Bino Rack provides perfect alignment with
eye-width adjustment, and a PVS7-style headset/helmet mount for use as a dual-eye goggle. The dual-tube configuration provides true stereoscopic
vision and preserves depth perception for incredible images, and more natural viewing. Outfitted with 3x or 5x MilSpec lenses, the Mini-14B
makes an exquisite night vision binocular. The MilSpec lenses are perfectly polished to exact military tolerance for superb clarity. And, the enlarged
objective lenses provide increased light intake, to preserve brightness of the magnified image.
By removing the magnification lenses, the Mini-14B binocular quickly transforms to a lightweight dual-eye goggle thats second-to-none (headgear included).
The Night Optics Bino Rack not only provides a PVS7-style headset/helmet mount, but it also provides front-to-back and eye-width adjustments
for a perfect fit. Also, the Mini-14 monoculars can be easily seperated and installed in single-carriage
headmounts (included) for monocular-goggle use. And, the included quick-release weapon mounts let you use the monoculars
as night vision rifle sights.
Each Mini-14 monocular uses either a single AA or 3.5 volt lithium battery,
offering more flexibility and longer battery life. And, each has an integrated IR illuminator
to aid in map reading and operation in confined spaces, and to provide additional distance and
clarity in extra-dark environments.
The Mini-14 Binocular ships with two Mini-14 monocular sets, one Mini-14 Bino Rack, and two MilSpec magnification lenses (available in 3x or 5x).
Included with each monocular set is a quick-release headset & helmet mount, MilSpec headgear, extra brow pads,
a demist shield, a sacrificial window, 1 3v CR123 battery & 1 AA battery, lens tissue, an instruction manual,
and a warranty card. The Night Optics Mini-14B is covered by a two-year manufacturer's warranty.
